Samuel Nathan Okiring, a former city advocate who was accused of having connections with the People's Redemption Army (PRA) rebels, has died in Canada.
A close friend, Patrick Merikol, yesterday said Okiring died while undergoing an operation for a brain tumour at a hospital in Canada.
"He passed away on Friday. His wife had told me two weeks ago that he was not feeling well. We studied together from primary to secondary school," Merikol said.
