MPs have been urged to agree on the contentious issues so that the quest for a new constitution can be realized.

Kenya's media owners said it was only by building consensus that the country could safeguard the gains made in the search for new laws.

Speaking at a news conference at the Serena Hotel, Mr Linus Gitahi, the association's chairman, expressed concern over the differences that were being exhibited during debate in parliament on the draft constitution.
