KOLKATA, 28 MARCH: Jackals have made a beeline for the runway at NSC Bose airport on several occasions, interrupting flight take offs and landings. This menace has plagued the Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials, who are deliberating measures for control. Today, the AAI's joint attempt with the state forest department succeeded, as a jackal was caught in a trap around noon.It was even more difficult to control the problem due to the ban on killing jackals. Even if jackals were sighted, they couldn't be killed.
