Model FAN5341 offers 32 linear dimming steps and drives 3-5 white LEDs in series, with same current for each, at 83% efficiency. Boost LED driver operates at 1.2 MHz switching frequency and includes Schottky diode to minimize size of external passive components and board space. Its single-wire interface lets designers control brightness levels of LEDs by transmitting digital pulses from MCU to driver. Unit is contained in 2 x 2 mm UMLP package.
