IN this new age, anything is possible. Children sending their parents to old folks homes, sons and daughters ill-treating and abusing their parents and babies being thrown away -- these social ills appear to be an inevitable part of modern life. There could be many reasons -- work pressure, economic demands or lack of support. However, shouldn't all these factors bind a family closer together? I am a mother of two lovely children, a son and a daughter. Both are grown up and studying away from home.
