KOTA KINABALU: Two of the three candidates for the presidency at next Sunday's MCA elections were in Sabah yesterday, meeting some of the 147 delegates from the state.

Some divisional leaders turned up at the airport here to greet Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, while MCA Penampang division chief Senator Paul Kong hosted a breakfast gathering for president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat.

Dr Chua will hold a press conference at 3pm in Kuala Lumpur today, where he is widely expected to announce his candidacy.

He said here: "If you look at the history of MCA, I will always be among the last to announce my candidacy because I want to get feedback from central delegates. …
