IF there is an entertainment industry that relishes the Pan-Asian look, it is ours.

We have many exotic Malaysians in the business because of their unique "fusion". Just look at the following names and you'll get what I mean.

Sofea Jane Hisham, Ramona Rahman, Deanna Yusoff, Julia Rais, Maya Karin, Natasha Hudson, Yasmin Yusoff, Joanna Bessey, Sarimah Ibrahim and Sasha Saidin have all been involved in films or have recorded albums.

Some have had more success than others.

Take Sofea Jane, for instance. Her portrayal of Zaleha in Perempuan, Isteri & ... is legendary.

Deanna stunned the film industry when her acting debut in the Shuhaimi Baba-directed movie Selubung won her the Best Actress Award at the 10th Malaysian Film Festival.
