Vice-president says Taiwan to sign trade pact with China in "very near future".

Taipei, March 16 (CNA) - Taiwan will sign an encompassing trade pact with China very soon to further remove trade barriers across the Taiwan Strait, Vice President Vincent Siew said Tuesday.
After the proposed cross-strait economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA) is signed in the "very near future, " Siew added, Taiwan will work for economic integration with Southeast Asian nations by striking bilateral or multilateral free trade agreements (FTAs).
