Model SP336, 3.3 V/5.0 V single-chip serial transceiver features both RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422 drivers and receivers. It supports full or half duplex configuration and also includes diagnostic loop-back function. Configurable into 8 operating modes, multiprotocol unit protects all bus pins against ESD up to [+ or -]15 kV per IEC 61000-4-2 air-gap, and [+ or -]8 kV per IEC 61000-4-2 contact. They are available in commercial 0-70[degrees]C and industrial -40 to +85[degrees]C temperature range versions.
