Section: General News - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said South Korea's plan to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean War should focus on conveying the importance of peace to the world, according to Seoul officials Thursday.

"I believe the upcoming projects will contribute to strengthening ties with nations who fought for South Korea during the Korean War," Ban was quoted as saying to Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kim Yang during their meeting in New York. "I think it is also important that these projects are focused on conveying to the world the message of peace rather than conflicts and war."
