50 Cent cast in gridiron drama

Rapper 50 Cent will star in the gridiron-football drama "Things Fall Apart", which is scheduled to begin five weeks of shooting in May in the Midwestern US state of Michigan. The rapper, whose real named is Curtis Jackson, will portray a running back who faces a personal tragedy and his own mortality while in his senior year in college, Variety says. Jackson said he was attracted to films because they offer a larger canvas for storytelling than music. "You have 90 minutes and 120 pages, compared with three minutes for a song.
