Those expecting the red shirts to have a change of heart towards ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra after the Supreme Court on Friday found him guilty of abuse of power to benefit his business empire, are likely to be in for a major disappointment.

The red shirts continue to point out the perceived double standards in the justice system and society at large. Even among the progressive and well-educated wing of the red shirts, the court ruling merely reinforced their conviction about what is wrong with politics and society.
