Gains of People Power threatened by partisan politics, Arroyo warns.

THE GAINS of People Power 24 years ago may be negated by partisan politics if the people would not be vigilant in preserving its unifying cause: the restoration of democracy, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo yesterday said.

In a speech delivered at the People Power Monument at Epifanio delos Santos Ave. (EDSA) and Temple Drive in Quezon City - the first after the death of a main participant, former president Corazon C. Aquino - Mrs. Arroyo said vestiges of the Marcos tyranny have been replaced by renewed trust in the political system.
