Thailand: SCB asked to further seize Thaksin's two children's assets.

Section: Government & Politics - The Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has been ordered to seize the total amount of 12 billion THB owned by two children of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Shin Corp's tax evasion case.

The official order came after Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Phattaraprasit who supervises the Revenue Department had called a meeting with Mr Vinai Witawatkarnvej, Director-General of the Revenue Department and all concerned authorities to follow up the pending case against Mr Panthongtae and Mrs Pinthongta Shinawatra. The meeting unanimously voted to continue confiscating the frozen 12 billion THB regardless of the result of the 76.6 billion THB asset …
