Reader Janet Owen sends me regular wildlife sightings from Roseland, and tells of an interesting story involving her sister, now living in Tavistock. While living in Kent, said sister had never seen a long-tailed tit but, while spending Christmas at Roseland, saw them for the first time on her December 30 birthday.

The following year, at home in Kent, long-tailed tits arrived in her garden for the first time, on her birthday. As Janet says, almost spooky.
