London- The Premier League is considering introducing a play-off system to determine the fourth club to qualify for the following season's European Champions League, according to reports in the Guardian on Monday.

At the moment the top four sides in the league qualify, but the plan would see the top three qualify as of right, with the teams finishing between fourth and seventh playing-off.
