INTREPID travellers often say that the best way to get to know a city is on foot. That is when you experience the city from another perspective - where every experience is what the locals encounter, whether it means taking a bus or LRT ride, walking down an alley that is not listed on Lonely Planet or map, or even stumbling into side streets and surprising yourself where you experience much more than what your tour holiday or package had signed up for. Kuala Lumpur has such trails and this is where the spirit and soul of the city lies. Once you have exhausted the tourist sites, photographed the many landmarks, completed the business convention, shopped and dined and have nothing else to do, simply explore the heritage trails of KL.
