WINTER Olympics veterans today told the North-east hopefuls to get set for an extraordinary experience in Canada.
The 2010 Vancouver Winter Games will start in the small hours of tomorrow morning with a glittering opening ceremony.
Taking part at this level for the first time are Huntly cross-country skiers Andrew Musgrave, Andrew Young and PJ Barron, along with Banchory snowboarder Ben Kilner.
Roger Cruickshank, from Glassel, near Banchory, skied for Britain at the last Winter Olympics four years ago, in the Italian city of Turin.
