Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust was commended for its role in co-developing a revolutionary piece of technology called the VitalPAC. It is a hand-held computer which captures a patient's vital signs and other assessment data at the bedside. Data can then be viewed anywhere in the hospital by staff using PCs.
