Section: Business News - Advanced Info Service says it will negotiate with CAT Telecom to conduct a pilot 3G service, says chief executive Wichian Mektrakarn, the Bangkok Post reports.

AIS, through its subsidiary Digital Phone Co (DPC), is preparing for talks with the state telecom enterprise to provide mobile broadband services on the 1.8 GHz spectrum, said Mr Wichian.

The company is seeking co-operation similar to the arrangements other mobile providers have achieved with CAT.

DTAC and True Move previously co-operated with CAT to provide 3G services on the 850 MHz spectrum using HSPA technology.Mr Wichian said providing 3G services on the 1.8 GHz spectrum …
