PreS--The aim of this production, created by a speech pathologist, a music therapist, and an art therapist, is to help children with developmental speech delays or those learning English as a second language. Presented in five segments (balls, play dough, bubbles, dolls, and playground), six children representing a variety of backgrounds are featured along with the series' mascots, Katy and Bobby, who are adults with crude, extra large puppet heads. Their features are fixed, except for their mouths, which move, but not in a way that resembles humans speaking-an odd choice for a speech therapy tool. …
