South Plains College (Texas) has named two new deans. Cathy Mitchell has been named dean of the college's Reese Center. In the new position, Mitchell will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the center. Prior to joining the administration at SPC in 2000, Mitchell was a longtime teacher and counselor for Ropes Independent School District. At SPC, Mitchell's first job was as registrar at the main campus in Levelland. She spent five years in that capacity before becoming dean of student life.
