Vietnam: Kien Giang - Buddhist monks convene congress.
Section: General News - The fifth congress of representatives of the Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Bonzes - the 2009-2014 tenure--opened in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang on January 27 with the participation of over 400 delegates.
During the fourth term between 2004 and 2009, the association at all levels has made important contributions to Buddhist affairs and actively participated in social activities, helping improve people's living standards and consolidate the great national unity bloc.
