from BUSINESS LINE, January 31, 2010 XXXXX New Delhi, Jan 30 - The Union Minister for Corporate Affairs, Mr Salman Khurshid, said on Saturday that the Centre is considering evolving an in-house mechanism to settle out of court all the inter- ministerial conflicts as well as commercial and civil disputes in which the Government is a party, rather than approaching the courts and adding to the huge backlog of cases.

"There is a need to develop an in-house methodology to resolve disputes where the Government is a party and we are looking into it. Alternate Dispute Resolution (or ADR that includes mediation, conciliation and arbitration) will find the highest importance in this …
