Health services are set to improve with the launching of an oversight body to manage health centres.
Public Health minister Beth Mugo on Friday inaugurated the Health Sector and Services Steering Committee, whose duty will be to oversee planning of health facilities.
"Disease prevention and better service delivery will reduce the number of hospital admissions," Mrs Mugo said at Afya House during the ceremony.
The team of seven will ensure that funds from the government and donors are channelled directly to the health centres, reducing the time it takes to approve the purchase of equipment, medicine, and other resources at the district and provincial levels. …
