SINGAPORE: Chinese personal computer (PC) maker Lenovo Group Ltd is optimistic on its growth prospects in Malaysia this year, partly helped by better consumer sentiment and its tie-up with chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD).
"If you look at the general macroeconomics, the economy is recovering.
Besides, we are also seeing more new users coming into the market. There's also a trend of people wanting to go on to the Internet on-the-go.
"So, based on all that, we are optimistic about it (the growth) this year," said Lenovo general manager and executive director (Asean) Howie Lau How Sin here on Tuesday.
