Philippines: Laguna's fish breeding industry gets support from DTI-4.
Section: General News - The fish breeding industry of Laguna Province has received support from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Region 4, officials said on Wednesday.
DTI-Region 4 officials said breeding and growing of ornamental freshwater fish, a looming industry, faces challenges in its export debut in Laguna Province.
This developed during a consultation meeting early Wednesday with industry stakeholders held in Tanauan City, Batangas with DTI-4 Director Marilou Quinco-Toledo who committed to assist the industry as ornamental fish is a rising export-earning sector of the region.
