JOHOR BARU: Regarded as "Prince of the People," Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, 51, is the eldest son of the late Sultan Iskandar of Johor.

Sharing the traits of his father, Tunku Ibrahim, fondly known as "Ku Yem" among his subjects, is described as a caring prince who has the interests of the people at heart.

He has been instrumental in reaching out to the poor in remote parts of Johor through his flagship outreach programme - Kembara Mahkota Johor (KMJ) - which has been running for the past 11 years.
