[Newsreader] The prime minister says one of the New Zealand SAS troops pictured on duty in Afghanistan is the Victoria Cross recipient Willie Apiata [awarded the medal in 2007 for bravery under fire in Afghanistan]. The New Zealand Herald newspaper was the first to publish a photograph this morning of two SAS soldiers in Kabul. The photo was then posted news websites and shown on tonight's television news.

Cpl Apiata is clearly visible in the picture. John Key says he assumes Cpl Apiata has been told of the publication of the photo and it's up to him to decide whether or not he will …
