Adamawa Revenue Board Rakes in N3 Billion.

The Adamawa State Board of Internal Revenue said it collected N3 billion as internally generated revenue last year.

The Executive Chairman of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Friday. He said the set target was N5.2 billion and that the short fall was due to difficulties encountered during collection.

Abdullahi listed the problems facing the board to include the resistance of some tax payers and lack of sensitisation and awareness. He also named administrative problems, such as the exit of most of the old and qualified staff, which left the board with only few old staff and new ones who …
