Alan Moss, from Fareham, has returned to the Clipper Roun the World Race after being rescued from the sea when the yacht, called Cork, hit a reef in the Java Sea, Indonesia.The 40-year-old, a former air traffic controller based at Swanwick, is continuing the race on rival yacht, California, which rescued him from his life raft.Cork, hit a submerged reef in rough seas, putting a huge hole in the vessel in the early hours of yesterday morning.Fearing they would sink, they radioed nearby yachts which were also taking part in the Clipper Round the World race.They then jumped into a life raft and headed for the nearby island of Gosong Mampango, 200 miles north east of Jakarta.The crew had to brave the stormy seas once again to …
