Section: General News - The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) announced on January 11 that it will take strong action against high-profile staff at Jetstar Pacific Airlines (JPA) for violating aircraft maintenance regulations.

The agency decided to revoke the positions of several top executives in JPA maintenance department including former Director General Luong Hoai Nam, Head of the Technical Quality Section Atanas Stankov and Head of the Maintenance Section David Andrew.

They are found to have had made mistakes in monitoring maintenance work and not fulfilling the company's commitments to civilian safety culture after an investigation on flight …
