Iranian foreign minister signed border agreement with Iraq - interview.

Text of commentary by Arash Khalilkhaneh headlined "Exclusive interview of Qods reporter with foreign minister; 'opportunity-making diplomacy' of Iran towards Iraq", published by Iranian provincial newspaper Qods on 9 January.

Signing three important strategic agreements with Iraq on determination and renewal of marking land and water borders and also coordination of border-patrols of the two countries, during the recent trip of Manouchehr Mottaki, the foreign minister to Iraq, was an intelligent and authoritative termination to months of conspiracy and provocation of certain political trends inside and outside Iraq, with the aim to perturb Tehran-Baghdad relations.

After his return from Iraq, Manouchehr Mottaki spoke to Qods' reporter in Tehran about the process of intelligent opportunity-making and reversal of a conspiracy which was designed by certain trends against Iran and its bilateral relations with Iraq.
