KUALA LUMPUR: Universities are encouraged to set up speaker's corners for their students.

Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said this would be in line with the ministry's vision to produce creative and holistic graduates.

"Students can speak on anything, but they need to consult the university's student affairs body on the guidelines," he said after closing the national finals of the Independence Day speech competition among universities here yesterday.
