Former Hanshin Tigers pitcher Rich Gale will work for the Milwaukee Brewers as the pitching coach for Triple-A Nashville this season.
Gale was the winning pitcher in the decisive game of the 1985 Japan Series, the only Series Hanshin has ever won.
He coached last season in Single-A ball for the Washington Nationals.
Meanwhile, former Tigers and Chunichi Dragons outfielder Darnell Coles will work for the Brewers as their minor league hitting coordinator, while 1997 Central League MVP Dwayne Hosey will coach hitters at Single-A Brevard County, Fla.
