Lobby Groups Push for Two Referendum Drafts.

Lobby groups want Kenyans to vote on two drafts of the constitution in the referendum.

The National Civil Society Congress also asked the government to give priority to the constitution making process in the new year.

Congress president Morris Odhiambo and member Kavetsa Adagala said having two options would ensure the country gets a new constitution either way.

"Our position since 2008 has always been for a yes-yes referendum. This is still an option, but needs the law to be amended," Mr Odhiambo said.

Ms Adagala said Kenyans should be given the option to choose between a presidential system and a parliamentary one. …
