The Department for Social Development is to make the AGBP25 payment to more than 160,000 households following a forecast for extremely low temperatures this week.Because of the cold snap, two payments will actually be made, as there has already been one period of sub-zero temperatures with another forecast.This means qualifying households will receive a total of AGBP50 to help with increased fuel bills.The payments are made when the temperature is actually, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below for a period of seven days.The temperature measurement is made by five meteorological stations located at Aldergrove, Ballykelly, Castlederg, …
