Puntland security forces have arrested nine Somali pirates along its coast following operations it carried out.

Reports reaching us from Boosaaso town, capital of Bari Region, say that Puntland security forces arrested nine pirates and seized their boat off Bari coast. The Police commander of Puntland, Muhammad Said Jaqanaf, told Radio Gaalkacyo that those pirates were formerly Puntland coast guards operating in the region and recently joined piracy.
