NO fewer than one thousand persons suffering from various ailments were treated free in Abavo, Delta State, at the flag off of the free rural health programme organised by Delta Doctors in Diaspora (DDD).

Beneficiaries include those suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, pains and visually impaired persons who were subjected to thorough medical checks and presented with assorted medications and reading glasses.

Speaking at the flag off ceremony, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Martin Okonta, called on corporate organisations and philanthropic groups to key into the developmental vision of the state government …
