RESIDENTS of Paidha town council in Nebbi district have welcomed the introduction of the local government public accountability fora, Barazas.

They said the idea, started by President Yoweri Museveni, would curb corruption and improve service delivery through holding local officials accountable for their actions.

This was at the Paidha town council offices, where hundreds of people gathered to witness the launch of the pilot sub-county Barazas on Tuesday.

The occasion was presided over by the finance state minister, Fred Omach and chaired by the Nebbi RDC, Betty Adima.
