Gwadar, 30 December: The federal cabinet on Wednesday [30 December] approved the Gwadar Port Authority Bill and announced 1bn rupees [11.9m dollars] as initial compensation for the affected persons of Karachi blast.

Chairing a special cabinet meeting on board a Pakistan Navy ship to discuss the issues concerning Baluchistan, the prime minister said he would also visit the affected areas of Karachi. The meeting attended by federal ministers and the four chief ministers at the PNS Babar anchored at Gwadar port, offered fateha [funeral prayers] for the martyrs of Karachi incident.
