Thailand - TOT launches fibre-optic internet in Phuket.

Thai state-owned carrier TOT has introduced a fibre-optic internet service in Phuket. The service starts at THB 8,600 per month and offers speeds of 10 to 20 Mbps, The Nation reports citing TOT president Varut Suvakorn. TOT invested THB 200 million to deploy FTTx in selected parts of Phuket. Initially the service connects 3,200 ports but this will be expanded to 20,000. TOT …
