Astana, 30 December: Kazakhstan's activities in the uranium sector comply with the IAEA's requirements, an official representative of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, has said.

" Kazakhstan's all activities in the uranium sector fully comply with the IAEA's regulations and are controlled by this organization," he told the Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency today.

Yerzhan Ashikbayev noted that the Kazakh Foreign Ministry was currently verifying foreign media outlets' report alleging that a sale of 1,300 t of uranium ore from Kazakhstan to Iran is being planned. He also said that the …
