DAVAO CITY - Regional government agencies have started strengthening their research and development programs to help small businesses come up with better products.
Trade and Industry regional chief Marizon S. Loreto said the objective is to develop products that could withstand global competition.
"We just have to ensure that new technologies are made available to our SMEs (small and medium enterprises) to be able to develop new products or make the quality of their products better," Ms. Loreto told BusinessWorld.
