Two Korean firms are looking to invest in the country's energy sector, a government source said.
The Korea International Cooperation Agency and Kolon Industries have approached the Department of Energy to conduct studies on potential energy sites in the country.
The government source said Korea International was interested in conducting feasibility studies on possible geothermal areas in Bohol, Mindanao and Bukidnon.
The output of the studies will in turn be furnished to Korean investors who are interested in putting money in the Philippines.
