BPO sector seeks more support from gov't.

The business process outsourcing (BPO) industry is hoping for the continued momentum of support for the sector in 2010 with the creation of more "next wave" cities and facilities for training.

In a telephone interview, Danilo S. Reyes, Business Processing Association of the Philippine (BPA/P) director and president of GenPact Philippines, said the national and local governments should work to develop more "next wave" cities that would host BPOs.

"We hope that the next administration would continue to provide support for the industry," Mr. Reyes told BusinessWorld.
