Section: Business News - More than 282,600 people have been reported registering with the informal debt-refinancing program of the government through the state-run Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC).

According to BACC President, Luck Wajananawat, 282,667 debtors with a total obligation value of 33.22 billion THB had joined the program by registering at its counters nationwide from 1 to 23 December 2009. 19,390 people with combined debts of 2.046 billion THB showed up to receive assistance …
