Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago yesterday said she will file separate disbarment cases against two individuals who sought her disqualification from next year's senatorial race.
Ms. Santiago, who is eyeing reelection under her own party People's Reform Party, said her legal staff would file separate disbarment complaints with the Supreme Court against both the petitioner and his lawyer - Nombraan Pangcoga and his counsel Bonifacio Alentajan - on grounds of "deceit, malpractice, violation of the lawyer's oath and other unethical conduct."
