JPEPA review scheduled for first half of '10.

THE THIRD annual review of the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement's (JPEPA) implementation has been slated for the first half of 2010 in the East Asian country, the Foreign Affairs department said in a statement yesterday.

This was decided after delegations from both sides met last Friday for the 2009 review.

The department reiterated that both sides expressed "general satisfaction" at last week's meeting over how the bilateral pact has been implemented so far.

The pact, which came in to effect in December 2008, enjoins both sides to liberalize the flow of services, investments and 95% of goods. "The …
