Christmas trees are among the most recognizable images of the yuletide season. It is said that a monk during the 7th century put up the first decorated Christmas tree, using its triangular shape to describe the Holy Trinity. Much later, artificial Christmas trees were developed in Germany during the 19th century, using goose feathers that were dyed green.

Today Christmas trees are a ubiquitous feature in holiday decorations, reminding people of the yuletide celebrations, but also showcasing the creativity of those behind the colorful ornaments and the festive trimmings.
